Is there any advantage of buying on Apple Online Store other than other retail store like Best Buy or Amazon? When it comes to buy Apple products, will you go for Apple Store even when shipping and delivery times are longer?

Yup, but read the conditions, some may charge a restocking fee some may not.

If a store that is closer in location to you has the iPad, there's no reason not to buy it.

I've purchased my iPhones from verizon, not the apple store, I've bought equipment at MicroCenter (a local computer store) so I'm not married to the apple store, just they have the ability to order or preorder before the others do when a new product comes out like the iPad or MBP

Disadvantages:

- Prices in general can be higher than at other stores
- It ships only courier

Yep - and it all applies choosing in-store pickup or ship-to-store too.

My recent experience with ship-to-store was surprisingly good; ordered a refurb item online on Black Friday in the afternoon for ship-to-store delivery vs. shipping to my home. It was available for pickup at lunchtime on Monday Dec 2nd despite delivery estimate when I ordered being the following week.
