Hello everyone,

I want to replace my june 2009 15" MacBook Pro's battery and I've done some research but can't seem to find what kind of battery I need to buy.

I have two numbers MB985 and A1286. A1286 is the model number and I'm guessing that MB985 says that it is a june 2009 15" Macbook Pro.

Now i'm wondering what numbers need to match? I see alot of battery's for MB985 but then it says the part number needs to be A1321. Will this fit, or do I need to look for an equel part number, or do both need to match?

Thanks in advance,
Bart.

Why? Are the ones outside of Apple's Channel "B Stock" or some other issue? I am just curious.

Because a good third-party battery will cost you $100, and Apple will replace it with a genuine one for $129, including the installation.

That.

I believe you'll also get Apple warranty.

And there's far too many fakes/knock-offs. You'll also have to worry about them not lasting as long (both in terms of hours and the overall life in months). Even worse, some can actually cause damage/harm to your laptop.
