Hello folks

I have a 2010 Macbook Pro and I just replaced the cd bay with an SSD drive, installed at 7200 rpm HDD and maxed out the RAM.

But, now I hear my fan all the time. SMC tells me that my fan is running at 2000 rpm which apparently is the default...

So, I'm wondering if there is something I can/need to do to minimize the sound or if I have to live with it. It's not loud, but I don't want to hear it...

Would a simple cleaning of the fan help? Note, I did not hear my fan running before I upgraded these parts except when I was running it very heavily.

;)

Performance is insane! It's faster than when I bought it. Startup time is 12 seconds or so...

I will never again buy a Macbook Pro that doesn't have an SSD - worth every penny.
