Advice: Early 2009 iMac 24" 2.93GHz, Radeon 4850...

I am thinking of picking up this computer today for $750. It has AppleCare through May of 2012, and the specs are as follows:

iMac 24"
2.93GHz Core2Duo (Extreme?)
ATI Radeon 4850 w/ 512MB vRAM
8GB RAM
640GB 7200RPM drive

In great condition.

Is this a buy? I don't currently have a real computer (other than my iPad and work laptop), and would like something to edit photos, store music, etc.

Advice on this machine?

I would jump on that deal as it's a great price.

You can extend the Apple Care as well.

u kidding? thats more than enough for anything you can throw at it these days. it will last you a good 3 years if you are doing what you described. jump on it!
