I am about to purchase a 60GB SSD from OWC that is specific for the A1237 MacBook Air 1,1.

I am concerned that the PATA connection is going to be a huge bottleneck but really need to breathe new life into a parent's MacBook.

Anyone have experience here?

There is no doubt that the PATA connection is a bottleneck. However, I put a RunCore 128 GB SSD into my Rev A MBA and really noticed the difference.

I'm not sure that OWC do a compatible SSD. You'll need a 1.8" SSD with a PATA ZIF interface.
