Well, I've been doing most of my work on a PC/laptop. However, I've been "on the run" lately and need a pretty portable laptop. These 14in PC laptops aren't cutting it and there's no way I'm paying almost $2,000 for ultra-portable PC laptop. The new G4 iBook seems like the next best thing for me. However, I'm wondering...
1) Will an 800mhz/256MB be enough power for graphics? I don't work with large pictures nor do extensive image manipulation. Mostly retouching and resizing and the occasional web vid clip (320x240).
2) Will all my Excel and Word files (from Office XP 2003) be readable in Appleworks?
3) Does OSX have support for local web development (ie. http server, php parser, mysql db)? I'd prefer testing my code on the local computer instead of constantly uploading to the live server.
