Hello! A few months ago I had spilled a little bit of water on my Macbook Pro 2017 and brought it to several stores to get a diagnosis. Everyone told me it would cost $800-$1200 to fix. It powered on but the charger did not work so once it died it was pretty much game over.

So, I bought a used 2020 Macbook Pro for $1200 because I am a college student and needed a computer for my online classes. However, I just tried to reboot my old laptop (the one that I thought was dead) and it powered on and it charges and works fine.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can resell my old laptop if it functions completely normally?

All and any advice is welcomed!!!! In need of guidance!!

( It is a 13 inch 2017 Macbook Pro with 16 gb of RAM and 512 of SSD)

You will need to make the history of water exposure known to any prospective buyer--even if it works perfectly, you will most likely take a big hit in the selling price. I wonder if there will be a much smaller financial hit if you sold the newer MBP and resumed using the baptized 2017 MBP.
