Need a bit of advice on this.

I managed to find a seller with a mint condition MBA 2010 11' 1.6ghz/2gb ram/128gb for about £400.

The question is there is no warranty left on this MBA. I know how good applecare is in repairing faulty issues. Do you think that's a good price for last year MBA and should i worry too much about no warranty on it.

I am buying with intention to run windows 7. How much battery would i get from it?

Many thanks

Nobody can answer your question, as it is up to you how important a warranty (or not) is to you.

No idea. You'd have to know what kind of condition the battery was in. Probably not very long, given how taxing Windows 7 is on Mac hardware. If you want to run Windows 7 you should buy a Windows computer.

Thanks for the quick feedback. It will be my secondary machine as i have a MBP 15 2010 at home. :)

You are talking about a 2010 MBA which was released in October 2010. Since it is only August That means that even if the machine was purchased on release day you could still buy applecare for it as you can apply applecare anytime within the first year of purchase.

that's a good point. I forgot that it was released in Oct. Cheers.

I don't see why you'd need a second portable, but that's just me. YMMV.

second machine for travelling. It is a bit of pain to carry the 15inch
