Advice needed for Imac.

Hi all. I am waiting for the new revision of the 24" Imac. I have been waiting since December when I got a $1900 Apple gift card. I have a couple questions.

I will be using this for mainly editing recordings from a HD camcorder, Itunes, and burning DVDs, Garageband and such. Is there something I need to upgrade or a minimum amount of something I need for this? Looking forward to the new look of the Imac, really wanting a Blu-ray burner.

a friend of mine is convinced that HD DVD's will beat Blu-Ray because sony won't allow adult films on Blu-Ray

2GB RAM minimum.

Upgrade HD to 500GB and buy an external FW/USB2 drive to use with Time Machine when 10.5 comes out.

And upgrade the 256mb video card if it's not standard on the 24" model when they revise it.

You'd definitely want RAM. I'd say at least 2GB.

if you are editing using final cut studio you want 2G minimum for it to run Motion, if your using final cut you might want more than 2G, and a nice graphics card is allways nice, as said before

2GB RAM will be perfectly fine for you.
