Advice Needed: Keeping iTunes on network hard drive connected to AirPort Extreme

Hey guys,

just looking on some advice on controlling my iTunes library. Currently, it's taking up all the space on my MacBook, and other family members need to use my MacBook in order to sync their iPods.

I want to be able to put all of the iTunes files (music, videos, apps, everything) onto an external drive attached to my AirPort Extreme via USB.

However, I would like all 3 of our computers (which are authorized with my account) to be able to access, modify, and sync with this library.

I'm wondering how to do this, or if it's even possible.

It should be possible... I've been trying to get this setup to work but my issue is that my computer often loses the connection especially if I try to skip songs. Any good references out there? I tried using the procedure outlined on TUAW but no luck yet.
