Advice needed new Macbook pro arriving - migration from MBA with yosemite

Hi

I currently have a MBA and it is on yosemite beta, it is the whole disk not a portion, I know, I know I should of done it differently - but I was eager and being honest apart from Lync no issues!

I am getting a new MBP retina today :cool:

But, I want to transfer the data from my MBA over to it.

Would I have to upgrade the new MBP to Yosemite prior to doing a migration or any other ideas?
