Advice needed: rMBP to U2713HM

My parents want to buy a new 15" rMBP and Dell U2713HM display.

Ideally someone here can confirm that a specific "mini-dp to dp" cable works for them under Mavericks. Preferably even DisplayPort 1.2.

I did do my research and found that "mini-dp to dp" cables from different manufacturers (cable matters, accell, nec) work, but also that some have problems when used with Mavericks.

They work fine. I have a no-name Mini-DP to DP that I use with a Dell 3008WFP (30" 2560x1600). Works fine.

They do work fine yes correct. You should have no problems.
