I have 15 MBP, 4 gigs, 2.53 and I love it. Looking at getting the 13 in. I just want it for portability and travel. I feel the $1200 one, 2 gigs, 160 HD and 2.2 processor would be sufficient. I am not going to load up the HD or put a bunch of programs on it. Going to Europe on a cruise in the Med so I can look at the pictures I take and use Iphoto. Also watch some videos on the long flight. Does the $1200 one seem to fill the bill? I have a 10in Toshiba but it just isn't on the same level as the MBs.

For this kind of use, I think a regular MacBook would be a better fit.

Wouldn't this be a perfect situation for a macbook air? Light, small and you still get the nice unibody that you probably love by now. Of course all that depends on whether or not you can get over the price, which I personally can not.

From what you describe the 13in MBP would be plenty... you probably could go with the macbook... also it is really is portability you are after then the air (but it comes with a nice price tag)
