I am looking to get a new 15" MacBook pro. (Previous MPB was a 2006 1.8GHz model.) I've been reading through the forums but I'm still unsure about the best configuration for my needs.

I will be using it mostly at work for some video editing(iMovie and possibly Adobe Premiere), iPad management (school iPads), basic Photoshop, and some web based things. I have an iMac at home which serves as media storage, so I wouldn't need a large drive. I'd occasionally play a few games (like Portal 2).

I'm thinking of getting the 2.0 GHz processor, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB drive.
Will this be adequate for my needs and still be a decent machine four years down the road?

Or should I be looking at one of the 13" models?

The longer I look at the options, the more confused I get.

check out the new models just launched today. I prefer my 15' for serious work. Occasionally I grab my 13' macbook air when being lazy on the sofa. If I could only have one... 15' no contest.
