After filling up my hard drive on my Macbook Pro (250gig) and my 500 gig external hard drive, I am looking to purchase a new hard drive. I do not know too much about computers, but need a hard drive with RAID (for protection) I would be devastated to lose my 700+ gigs of movies, music, homework ect.
I am thinking I will need at least 1 TB (after RAID), and unsure if I should get RAID 1, 10, or 5. Also unsure about the benefits and drawbacks of those RAID configurations.

Speed is not an issue because the files I deal with are small (500mb to 1.5gig) and am used to my USB hard drive. I was looking at the western digital Sharespace (would I be able to transfer files wirelessly with it?) because the four bays will give me the chance to update it later on with more storage space.

The other hard drive I was looking at was the Lacie drive

Should I be looking elsewhere, and any recommendations on what to buy to keep my data secure:D
