I have a Mac Pro with 4 x 500BG drives in it.

I have just bought a MacPower Taurus II external case and put 2 1TB drives inside which I want to use as a Time Machine backup

My question is - what would you suggest is the best way to do it?

Should I JBOD the external into 1 big 2TB and just use that as a TM backup for everything?

Or should I keep the drives seperate and back 2 of the 500GB to one and 2 to the other...

If I go down the second route (which would be safer as I would not loose everything if I lost 1 drive) can I setup TM so that 2 of the internal disks backup to one of the externals and 2 backup to the other?

Or would I have to use TM for backing up the first 2 internals and something else (CCC/SuperDuper) to backup the other 2?

Your advice would be appreciated - thanks!
