Advice on buying new MBP

Hi, i plan to buy the recent refresh (late 2011) MBP and upgrade to 8GB RAM. Usually i need to do some photo editing and programming with XCode; and most of time i would attached to an external display with 1920x1080 resolution. Desktop may not be an option although I seldom need to travel. Do you guys have any good advice? thanking in advance.

Any MBP will be fine, especially if you get an external monitor.

If you're working at home, I would suggest getting a keyboard and mouse/trackpad. But if you're on a budget, then the laptop itself will be fine.

I would say base 13" or base 15" depending on your size preferences and budget.

The graphics card won't do anything for you, especially if you're using photoshop. RAM will, but do yourself a favor and upgrade 3rd party for a quarter of the price apple charges.
