Advice on external hard drive enclosure

Hi. I am looking for a 2-bay or 4-bay hard drive enclosure with a FW800 connection. I want a JBOD configuration where I can address each drive independently. I am not interested in RAID, NRAID or Drobo solutions. I also want to be able to put drives of different capacities and from different manufacturers in the enclosure and have it "just work". Anything like this on the market? Thx
