I have a G5 Dual 2.5 GHz Power PC with the original 160GB internal drive.

I'm looking to add a second Serial-ATA internal drive with a LOT of space. I've seen capacities up to 1.5TB. That sounds great, but my most important criteria is reliability and a track record of quality. Can anybody suggest a drive that would be ideal or, perhaps, a site that offers good advice?

Thanks,
Michael

Hard Drives are tricky in that everyone is gonna rely on their own experience to tell you what sucks and what is amazing.

Personally, I stick with Western Digital and Seagate, with a preference toward Western Digital. I've never had either arrive DOA, and they've all lasted quite a while.

I've been eying this particular 640GB hard drive for my next external enclosure:

Great reviews and amazing PPG (Price per Gigabyte). Hope this helps.
