Advice on Orange UK SIM locked phone

Hi. I've just inherited a SIM locked iPhone 4, which i have a problem with people not being able to hear me on the phone, i can hear them but they can't hear me very well

Can i go to a Genius bar to swap this out or back to the carrier, as i am not the original owner you see, and if it's swapped out or fixed ( i dont care whatever ) will it be another simlocked iPhone 4?

Thanks in advance ( i did a search, nothing similair to my query, apologies if there is )
 
The iPhone warranty moves with he owner no matter who they are, I would go ahead and book a genius appointment and it it swapped out as it looks like you have a faulty iPhone.

Okay, do you know or have any experience of whether it will be another sim locked Orange phone, or something different?
