I've been thinking about scanning my old negatives for awhile and saw a very helpful thread a few months (?) ago recommending ScanCafe.com.

There prices seem reasonable: -

35mm Color Negative 3000 dpi 10 MP $0.33
35mm Color Slide 3000 dpi 10 MP $0.33

They also have a couple of add-on items: -

Files saved in TIFF format (processed image) $0.24 / scan extra
Pro Resolution (film: 4000 dpi / print: 1200 dpi) $0.14 / scan extra

The negatives are all from mid 80's to mid 2000's, vacations, family weddings and events. In good condition and mostly shot on SLR cameras.

When I get them back I will share some of the better ones with friends and family, print a few, maybe make a photo book.

Anyone think the add-on items are worth the money?

Thanks,
Nicholas
