Hey all,

Working really hard on the Ph.D at the moment so I wondered if I could have some of you die-hard mac lovers could thrash about a few ideas for my setup.

Here's the brain dump:

I have just bought a MBP - want to do all my work on it really as it's a very nice machine. Could split my work between the MacBook Pro and the Mac Mini and use Chrososync to synchronise the files - this is a totally sound option.

I have an iMac at work, but I am selling that so we'll ignore it for now.

I have a Mac Mini that I want to use as a media centre really - have movies and all my music on there. I want to sync music between the MBP, Mac Mini and Powerbook as I want all my songs where ever I go.

I have an ACD - currently connected to the mini, but I also have another monitor that the mini could be connected to just as easily - for media centre needs. I am not sure whether I should leave the mini and the ACD as a unit, or move the mini to the other monitor and use the ACD for everything work and MBP related instead.

I have a huge amp and 2 massive speakers - I could connect to these via airtunes (currently unused) and connect a 5.1 system to the mac mini for movies and the like - using the MBP/powerbook to control airtunes when I wanted some music.

Any experiences/advice/suggestions are welcome... this isn't really a problem, just trying to organise my stuff.
