I do have vista on my MBP but I just like the idea of having a dedidicated machine. Anyway I live in a pretty rural area so not that many people go out for black friday. I went out 2 years ago with my mom for the $398 laptop from walmart and we got there about 3am which was an hour before everyone else.

Its $200, $350 normally. So that means a few things...

Honestly, if my macbook pro wasn't just 3 months old, and I had $200, I would probably be standing in line for mine right now. But, I can't really justify the $200 purchase considering I just got a computer at the beginning of the school year that kicks the tail of that computer. Just don't let everything major ride on this computer... At $200, well, you get what you pay for sometimes, right?
As for a dedicated windows machine, I'm all for that. The geek in me wants as many computers as I can, but it really has some practical uses. Why waste mac hard drive space on windows if you can waste windows hard drive space on windows?

Check the passmark CPU scores on that thing - 390. That's LESS than a Pentium M 1.6GHz. That's about EQUAL with the five year old Sempron 2600+ I'm typing this on right now (it scores 382). So then, riddle me this - why would ANYONE buy a new laptop that scores the same as a 5 year old model? Oh wait... its $198, that's why.
Now the one Best Buy is having for $197 has the Celeron 900 - still a crappy CPU, but it scores 766, almost double.
