Still here.
I'm thinking of buying this iBook off eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/12in-iBook-G4-8...00QQihZ016QQcategoryZ4602QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It says it has a busted logic board, but otherwise works fine (apparently meaning replace the logic board and it'll be all set.

The only problem is that I am worried about getting scammed. Does this seem like a good idea?

Also, how much does it cost to buy a new logic board? I could install it myself, I just don't know where I'd go to get the part.

Thanks in advance for the help. :)

Errr -- meaning nothing of the sort. It means -- it's busted, a $700 logic board (my guess - it may be $500 or it may be $900 as an Apple service part) is definitely required, but #*#*ed if the seller knows if it will really work ever again.

Buy it only if you need the other parts for spares. Don't buy it if you expect to repair and use it.

I didn't know they were that expensive! Good thing I came here first!

Thanks for the help, CanadaRAM! :)
