Hi. I want to dump all my iphone 14 pro photos onto a usb stick using lightning port and then attach drive to PC USB port to transfer photos from memory stick to PC. Are any of the products I see better than others and as it as simple as it sounds? Do these thumb drive options come with an app to transfer photos to stick? Also with previous iphone 11, I dumped all photos to PC using lighting cable but it put the photos into a zillion folders that I then have to sift thru to save the photos I wanted to save. Ideally I would rather have all photos dump to one photo or less folders. Do the thumb drive sticks offer this option?

If you have a "zillion" folders with pictures, use the OS (windows?) to "search" for pictures then select all and drag and drop to move them to a final folder of your choice.

  • for copying very comfortable the Apple Photos album structure as it is (incl. the images) to a SD card/SSD/USB-stick you need third-party software e.g., FileBrowser Pro or FE File Explorer.
  • Or you do this album by album from within Apple Photos (depending on structure, slightly more tedious; YMMV).
  • You could also sync Apple Photos with your PC, which will replicate the album structure on the iPhone on your PC - this is by far the easiest, highly recommended way.
  • If you use Apple Photos with iCloud, you can use e.g. iCloud Photos Downloader.
