i'm a first year music technology student, but they get us to do a basic video production module to get to grips with the software in case we go into music or sound for tv or film.

it's integrated with a audio editing module, and they want us to record audio and edit it to fit with the video. i'm thinking of making something like this to make it abit more musical: sacla advert

not sure what this kind of thing is called, or if it even had a name, but i remember a car advert doing a similar thing but can't find it now.

just wondering if anyone has an advice for me?

also, i think we'll be using final cut or premiere, if it's final cut does that in any way work with imovie? thinking just basic editing at home with imovie then take it into uni to do the serious stuff on final cut by just opening the imovie project file. or maybe i'll download final cut, but i prefer not to download apps, and not sure if final cut express will be worth the 6 week module?

thanks for reading, any comments welcome
