I know there's not a big price difference between the high end 13" MBP and the starter 15" MBP, but I prefer to carry around a 13".

I use to always have Mac laptops, but then went to an iMac about 4 years ago.

My problem is this one will be replacing my 4 year old iMac. The only game I really play on my Mac is Sims 3 (not sure if the current 13" MBP will handle it). Everything else I use my Mac for is fairly normal work activities, sometimes some minor photoshop, but nothing too intense.

Any good advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Have you considered the air? With the CPU upgrade and ram it's a very very capable computer now.

Agreed. I think that Sims 3 should run just fine on the HD4000 graphics. If you aren't set on upgrading the RAM and HDD yourself, the Air is a good way to go. You get a 1440x900 (vs 1280x800 with the Pro) display and a fast SSD by default.

For day to day tasks, a base 13" Air should feel faster than a base 13" Pro because of the SSD.
