Hello all.
Presently i have a Mac Pro 4 core 2.66 GHz from 2007 with the NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT installed.
I work in graphics/Animation and use Adobe Production software and Final Cut among other things... but no gaming or 3D design.
I have trawled the forums but seem to only get one bit of info from my reading... that the ATI 3870 is the card I should get.. but the question I ask is it worth my money to upgrade to this card and is the card problem free...
I have come across a couple of stories where there have been problems but as we all know we hear more about problem cases than those who are happy wih their configurations.
I cannot afford to upgrade my entire system to the lovely new Mac Pros but would like to bring my current system up to date slightly more than it is at present.
I have 8GB RAM currently so am content with this amount for the time being...
Can anyone advise me on the best way to get some extra performance from my system.... specifically in the Graphics areas...
