Hi,

I have a Late 2015 27" iMac. It suffers from the 'pink tinge' problem but otherwise meets my needs (email, browsing, some Photoshop). However, it won't be supported by Ventura and I feel that it's Apple's way of telling me to upgrade.

I have been thinking about options:

1. Stick with my current system. It meets my needs but downsides are no longer supported by the latest OS and no security updates.
2. Buy a 24" iMac. Smaller screen and gets a 'Don't Buy' rating from MacRumors Buyer's Guide as it may be due to be updated.
3. Buy a Mac Mini with the Studio Display. Same screen size as my current system but again Mac Mini get a 'Don't Buy' rating for the same reasons as the 24" iMac.
4. Buy a Mac Studio and Studio Display. No real downsides (other than the cost!) but is probably overkill for my use case.

Any thoughts on what I should do would be gratefully received!

I would probably go with the 24 inch iMac. Since your current machine is still adequate, wait until the next upgrade of the 24 inch is released.

Or, get a Studio Max and pair it with a non-Apple 24 or 27 inch display.

I also have a late 2015 27" iMac. I intend to replace it with a Mac Studio and a pair of non-Apple monitors (I already have a 27" 4K HP Z27 that I use as a second monitor with my iMac).

The Studio display is very nice, but the price is too much for what it offers. Hopefully there will be new 27" 5K monitors by the time I upgrade as there are new panels in manufacturer development schedules. If not, Huawei's 28" 3:2 ratio MateView is looking most likely as my new main monitor.

Option 5:
Buy a Mac Studio (base model will do, unless you need 1tb of SSD), and a third-party display instead of the Studio Display (which is nice, but way over-priced).

OP please note that macOS Monterey should get security updates for the next two years. So no urgency there.

Otherwise, as an iMac 2017 owner myself, I will be in your situation in a few years.

Yes, it will get security updates for about 2 more years.

To add to that: What this means is it will continue to be supported by most software (even Safari) for at least two more years.

I am hopeful we will get full OS support until fall 2024, and the security updates until 2026 H2. I’m prepared to keep my 2017 iMac for that period, so potentially four more years. At that point it will be nine years old.
