So I'm in need of buying advice. A good friend of mine is selling his 5 month old 8GB iPhone 3G for $200...but I'm pretty sure I could negotiate it to 175. It's tied to Rogers, but it doesn't matter much because I'm on Rogers as well.

Anyways, it's been dropped down stairs once, and dropped another time requiring the screen to be replaced under warranty. However nevertheless, it works seamlessly and looks alright, other than a small dent on the back.

Either way, I've been seriously craving an iPhone for a while...and wouldn't mind to finally have one in my hands.

Please share your thoughts. Thanks a ton. :apple:

For $200 you could get a 3gs, let alone a 3g for
$100. Go for the used one if you are still in contract and can't upgrade.

If you're under contract OR don't want to deal with a 2 year contract, I'd say that's a good deal. :D
