Hey everyone. Basically, about two months ago, I purchased two 23" ACD from the local Apple Store. I also bought AppleCare. Anyways, the first one works flawlessly. The other one, not so much. So far, I have had a variety of problems with it. First of, if anybody bumps my desk, the display flickers, and sometimes shuts off until you unplug and re-plug it into a power outlet. Also, when lined up side by side, the flickering one is obviously crooked, like leaning to the side. Any ideas of a way I could fix it myself? I would take it to Apple, but I am worried they will say it is my fault, because I scratched it. Like, a large scratch/scuff on the bottom. I know its probably ridiculous, but they have done stuff like that to me before.

Any advice anyone?

Thanks,

Alex

As long as there is no internal damage, and you didn't drop it, I think you should be OK contacting them. Check out the Applecare agreement/ToS though to make sure this is covered. If they don't want to fix it, I don't know :(

Also, check this out: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2810
Might need recalibration or brightness adjustment.

Good luck!
