Hey!

I recently came across a MBP from 2011 Sandy Bridge edition 15inch' for $1286. As my current laptop is from 2006 (white Macbook) and currently have an iPhone 3GS.

It's a retail store in my area and I've been wondering whether the deal is superb and whether I should buy it?

Also I am confused whether i should purchase the MBP considering it costs $1286, whilst I also want the iPhone 5 and if I do go with iPhone 5, I'll be paying $800 for it (purchasing outright).

Any advice on whether to purchase the MBP 2011 or iPhone 5?

Tough choice as both your laptop and iPhone are due an update. I assume the MBP is a late 2011 model, so the price seems pretty good. Personally I'd buy the MBP and also get the 16 GB iPhone 5 under contract for $199.

The MBP seems like a good deal if it's what you will get your usage out of.
