Dear All,

I would like to receive some kind advices on video editing.

I have imported all the DV video I have (almost 500GB) on my iMac with iMovie. But now iMovie is almost unusable :| really slow.
Soon I will import also video from a full hd videocamera.

- Is it possible to have the video files on a network folder on my NAS (maybe read only) and create/edit the project on the iMac?

- Is it possible to have one project open at time, with the related video instead of having all the videos in the event libraries?

- When I click on a event on the event library it takes really long to show all the videos contained. Is it normal or there is something wrong?

- Is iMovie a good solution or should I go for Final Cut?

Thank you for your support,
dk

ps: iMac i7 3.4Ghz with 4gb RAM.
