I am moving to a summer house and I have Dell 24 inch display ready.
I always used desktops with large GPUs, but this time I am planning to use MBA m2 in a clamshell mode.
It is first time for me to use a notebook in clamshell mode.

So what I have is a simple USBC hub with HDMI out, so I am planning to link Dell with MBA through HDMI.

I also might buy a Logitech combo and put their receiver into USB of the hub (dock). I will buy soon a clamshell stand.
Is there anything more I'd need?

If you're planning on doing any FaceTime or Zoom while away (bragging about the fun things you're doing at the summer house 😉), maybe an inexpensive webcam? Logitech's C270 serves me well enough for the stuff I do, which includes some work Zooming.

Before I moved to an M2 Mini, I was using my 2017 Air in clamshell, with the above webcam, a Logitech K380 (bluetooth) keyboard, their M325 (USB wireless) mouse and a simple Acer monitor. Now all those peripherals connected up to the Mini.

Oh, and a reminder that, as a clamshell, you'll want to avoid shutting it down (a pain to reopen Air to reboot) and will want to set Air up to just go to sleep when not being used for (your choice) some time. Just turn off monitor when not being used. A tap on keyboard or mouse should wake up Air.
