Hi,
I have recently bought an Apple TV and since I decided to connect it to a Monitor that doesn't have any audio output I need to buy an audio system.
I don't own any speakers at the moment and I was planning on buying the cheapest option (I am a student) of speakers with optical input.
Reading another thread I have just learned that there is a possibility to convert the optical signal to a normal audio jack through an adaptor that costs $25.

I was wondering is this is by far the cheapest option or, given that I have to buy a pair of speakers anyway, if there is an affordable product that already supports optical so that I can have a better sound quality.
Thanks for helping!
