Can anyone tell me what this is and if it is adware/malware. Glidercentral.net is a forum.

No it doesn't look like malware, but more like an advertisement. It's hard to say by cranking my head sideways to see it (didn't care to download it and rotate it myself).

But read this and you will know and understand that you shouldn't worry about malware and viruses on a Mac.
