Upgraded to Mac 10.6.6 yesterday to get access to the App store. Now as I whenever I try to add a layer to my comp in After Effects CS5, I get the spinning beach ball of death. Working with one layer is no problem. As soon as I try to add another, crashola.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Fixes?

I'm running on an early 2008 Mac Pro, 8 gb ram.

Thanks.

I've had no issues at all...upgraded to 10.6.6 the day it was released and have be in AE almost everyday since.

Did you check to make sure AE is updated to the latest update?
