Am looking to upgrade my current wireless router to AE.

Intention is to plug in a USB hub and connect my multi-function printer and a portable external HDD to the AE.

I have a desktop iMac, macbook, and an older pc running windows. Currently the iMac is plugged directly into the printer, while the others are wireless.

Anyone know if I will lose the multi-function features of my printer on all machines if I go the USB hub route.

If i can retain the multi-function capability on the iMAc i'd be happy.

Thanks in Advance

In general, yes, you will lose all but printing functions.
On the other hand, if your device has a driver that supports scanning via network (IP address of the AE plus port 9100), it might work. Just don't count on it.
