I am having some issues and can not find an answer (googled for 2 hrs), so instead of hijacking someones thread I am starting my own. Thanks for any and all advice.
I bought the My Book Home Edition during BB's T-Day doorbuster sale. I have been using it on my PC via eSATA just fine (well, after the Jan-09 firmware update). During Christmas I took my AEB(n) and the My Book to my parents to sell them on doing there backups via the network & AEB(n). Well the My Book would not work, I keep getting "Disk Needs Repair" (It is currently formatted NTFS). My SimpleTech 250Gb USB drive (w/WD guts) and my WD 160Gb USB Passport work fine with the AEB(n), both NTFS. Now this is an issue for me again as I am buy my first Mac next month (MacBook).
I store my media (movies for XBMC via aTv) on my HD and want to run Time Machine for my new Mac. So I only have 1Tb right now, I am going to be adding several more in the near future.
Q:
I have read that the AEB(n) doesn't work with Ext HDs designed for RAID? Any truth to this?
Is the My Book Studio worth it? If not, what do you suggest that I can daisy chain or use via a powered USB Hub?
Thank You!
