AEBS only connects to n devices, not any g ones.

I have just today received a new AEBS, phoned Apple to discuss the issue and they say they are sending me a new one as it must be faulty. I want to give it one last try as it seems very strange that this is a fault.

Basically, with Apple level 2 support on the phone as well, we can;t get any g devices to connect to the router, they don't even recognise it.

The g devices recognise many other wireless networks in the area, and every single n device recognises the AEBS.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the 2.4GHz antenna is shot. Try giving the 5GHz band a unique SSID, then report which networks your N devices see. If they're only seeing the unique SSID and not the SSID that's in the first screen of the wireless tab, then it means that your 2.4GHz band isn't being broadcast by the AEBS.
