Hi all,

I have a dual band aebs setup in the house with an airport express setup to extend it into the rear of the house.

I've noticed that if a device connects to the 2.4ghz network the signal is weak and network performance is very poor. Once connected to the 5ghz everything is fine with both signal and performance. Network speed tests performed on both networks confirms this.

I'm the same distance from the box for each test using the same laptop.

Any ideas?
Cheers!

Wireless interference?

Use a program like iStumbler to check out the wireless traffic in your area and see which channel would be best to use.

Nice tool but I dont think it's that.

My non-n network is using 11, n is using 36 - all other wireless networks in range are using channel 1.

Thanks for the idea though :)
