AEBSn & USB Drive inquiry

I have a USB drive plugged into my AEBSn and have one music andmovie library on there that is accessed by both my Macbook and macpro with windows xp pro sp2.

in windows when playing music files in itunes, sometimes it will stutter randomly and watching videos in VLC from the videos on the USB drive on the AEBSn will stutter as well.


but playing the same things in itunes and in vlc do not stutter when using the macbook connection; all of these are connected wirelessly.


any help or suggestions?
