i am not a gamer. I am wanting to use a egpu setup to have multiple monitors for my 2012 13in mbp.

Which card would be supported and recommended. I do not want the 1080i or whatever cards geared towards gaming that costs a small fortune. I want a card that works in egpu and can output at least 2 hdmi or vga, preferable 3

Thanks

You'd likely be spending a small fortune anyway...egpu configs aren't cheap. Nothing you buy will be officially supported by Apple as well--you need TB3 for that. This may be helpful:

Though all the cards listed there would be overkill for what you want.

If you can afford it, I'd consider selling the 2012 and buying a Mac that can use multiple monitors out of the box. It makes little sense sinking so much money in an old setup.
