Afloat, an amazing app to share with you!

I have just discovered this app, which comes from an Italian developer (sometimes we are good at something) who built it in 2008. This app allows you to have windows "always on top", to drag windows in any point (not only from the upper bar, to resize windows with a easy keys combination, to make windows transparent, and so on...

You need to install SIMBL first (Afloat is a SIMBL plugin) and then Afloat.

It is a LEOPARD ONLY app.

Been using it on my Intel MBp and PB G4 for a while now, handy for watching video whilst having a Terminal window underneath which needs your attention once in a while

Interesting! I don't know what I'd use it for, but it's interesting!

I'd love to try it but I'm 90% through the Tiger transition so I'll have to wait until I have some Macs that can dual-boot (everything's Tiger only right now).

I've used it it the past. It's a great app. Mainly my use was for the window transparency. But after a while, unless you really had a need for that, it gets used less (at least for me). Never got into the other options though.
