Hi all.
When you choose to connect from Mac to Mac using AFP, no passwords are stored on the remote, yet, if your coming from a Windows PC which u connect using SMB, you need to enable the Mac's account under File sharing options, and the Windows password *will be stored in a less secure manner*
I'm assuming this means it will be stored on the remote...
But why does it have to be stored and not just be temporary like AFP connections ?
Apple themselves are even stuck for answers, but Wikipedia kind of reveals it could be protocol related, also i dunno.
