After 10.6.7 Update V.11 of disk utility won't open

After 10.6.7 update I get the following message: Can't use this version of Disk Utility (V.11) with this version of OSX. Anyone have this problem?
This is a BlackBook with the standard config.

At a guess I'd say that your copy of Disk Utility became damaged. If it's practical to do so I'd reinstall the combo update.

Thanks. I'm wondering if I should just grab it (Disk Utility) from my last Time Machine backup since I've been having other problems with that (10.6.7) update.

Reinstall the whole update - if something went wrong during the original installation then usually a reinstall will fix it. It's not wise to mix and match system software (i.e., don't mix the 10.6.6 Disk Utility with a 10.6.7 system).

Am running the 10.6.7 Combi Update and Disk Utility is opening fine. Thanks for the tip. Have a screen problem now that may be related to that original X6.7.
Started another thread on that.
