I’ve been an iPhone user since the very first iPhone 2G.
I’ve upgraded on day one for every generation except for the iPhone X — that year I chose the iPhone 8 Plus because of its outstanding battery life and signal strength. I still remember it as one of the best iPhones ever… until yesterday, when I finally got the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
For the first time in years, I feel like I’m holding a truly perfected iPhone.
Finally, a phone that doesn’t overheat! The performance is on another level compared to the 16 Pro Max, with absolutely no thermal throttling. I can use LiDAR under the sun without the screen dimming and without straining my eyes.
The call quality and connection are also on a whole new level — no more dropped calls, no noticeable latency, just instant connections. Bluetooth feels way faster and more reliable too: AirPods pair immediately, unlike before when sometimes it took five seconds or more.
Battery life is simply incredible, the display looks stunning, and the system feels totally fluid. The loudspeakers are much improved, and again, the thermal management is outstanding. Even the selfie camera has taken a big leap, capturing more detail than ever.
I can’t stop smiling — after so many years of using iPhones, this one finally feels like the phone I always dreamed Apple would build. I’m honestly thrilled and so happy with it!
