I was hoping others could share their take on owning an M4 Studio Max and did it meet expectations.

My situation - I opted to trade in my M1 Studio Max 64gRAM, 1 TB drive and got the same config with the M4 Studio Max with the minor M4 upgrade. My use varies but beyond the typical (mail, YouTube, FB etc.) I use photo related software and a little bit of video enhancement software. Overall, very happy with my choice. Only a few things seem noticeably faster which not only tells me this system works well but also reminds me just how good the M1 was and had remained until I sent it off.

This time around I have opted to put a filter unit under the Max. LOTS of dust was with the M1 and I did spend time hoping to remove quite a bit of it without of course cracking open the computer. If there is a complaint, it is that Apple should provide us a means to keep the system dust free.

Having had all sorts of Macs in the past, I honestly love the foot print of the Studio. It really is that Pro Junior or Mini Pro that people used to talk about and often diagram of a similar design. The only thing that would make it better is if it had slots or something for NVME to add secondary storage rather than adding everything to the outside.
