I want to get the iphone 3gs using the add a new line feature. I am currently not using an iphone (sold it). I want to add a new line to get the subsidized pricing on the 16gb iphone 3gs ($200). I then want to cancel the old line, paying the pro rated ETF. Lets say I get the iphone 3gs on the 19th, do I have to wait 30 days before i cancel the old line? My minutes currently reset on the 17th of every month.

I was planning to do the same thing. I called an AT&T store and he told me it was possible to do this. I dont see y not if im willing to pay the ETF I should be able to do whatever.

You can actually get out of the ETF since they changed the 411 rates.

The above is too complicated. Ill just go to the apple store and get my 3g exchanged (broken ringer) and sell it with accessories for $400 on ebay and buy the 3gs with that.
