After Big Sur 11.1 PDFs that were converted to Black and white are now Solid red

After updating to Big Sur, all of the scanned pdfs I had converted to black and white through quartz filter in preview are now all red. The pdfs are fine for the other people working in the same folder in icloud.

My pages crapped out and was not working. I trashed it and reinstalled. Then I installed Bis Sur.

Not sure how to fix it.
